New Hampshire's courts have been awarded 200-thousand dollars to begin a new treatment program for young people charged with alcohol and drug offenses. Judge Edwin Kelly joined Governor Jean Shaheen in Concord to make the annoucement about the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant. |

New Hampshire officials are planning ways to protect the state's food supply from bio-terrorism attacks. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Taylor and state Veterinarian Clifford McGinnis are working on quarantine plans to stop animal or plant products from entering the state if there's a suspicion of contamination. Taylor warns a single test tube of anthrax unleashed on animals or grain being processed for food could spread hundreds or thousands of miles in a matter of hours. A drill to test the plan is scheduled this spring. |
